Litigation Secretary Opportunity

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a major Century City law firm to find an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a fast-paced, sophisticated legal environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, court filings, memoranda, and other litigation-related materials.
  • Coordinate conflict checks and assist with new matter intake processes.
  • Draft, process, and serve discovery-related documents.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence and communications with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel.
  • Support attorneys with deposition preparation and logistics.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organization of exhibits, binders, and case materials.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and track critical deadlines, court dates, and litigation milestones.
  • Process expenses, invoices, and other administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, depositions, mediations, and virtual proceedings.
  • Prepare and manage state and federal court filings, including electronic filings where applicable.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Create, assemble, and distribute litigation materials in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
  • Retrieve, organize, and prepare exhibits and supporting documentation for hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure seamless workflow and provide backup support as needed.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting litigation attorneys in a law firm environment.
  • Experience supporting complex litigation matters is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.
  • Experience with state and federal court electronic filing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PDF editing software.
  • Experience with document management, timekeeping, billing, and case management systems.
  • Ability to work with complex document revisions, redlines, and formatting.
  • Typing speed of 70+ WPM preferred.
  • Professional, proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented with a commitment to providing exceptional support.
